fuel gauge problems
i have a 2004 f250 6.0L with 73k
i replace both fuel filters.
i was empty on fuel so i want to the gas station and pumped 10 gallons of diesel, when i started the truck the fuel gauge read full instead of a little over 1/4 tank
what do you guys think happen.

It should work itself out after a few more restarts and/or driving it around.
Several folks report fueling with the truck RUNNING also messes things up.
In my case, the gauge sssslllllooooowwwwwllllyyyyy went from E to F over
3 days. I now shutoff when fueling and it works normal.
out of curiosity..
Does you lie-o-meter show you can go 500+ miles or just 180+
indicating it really knows you have 10 gallons vs. 30+?
