Great, then I will try to have the full write up by the mid-afternoon tomorrow. The simple version is that some of the wires immediately after the fuse were stressed. I think this happened when I paid my neighbour’s shop to change out the keybox (but I don't think I can prove that). Looked a little like an ape had just been pulling on things.

That's not the issue - I think you need to have 10 posts under your belt before you can post pics. So go find 3 threads to post in and then come back and try again.

Only Supporters can directly attach files to posts, the rest of us have to use a hosting service (FTE Albums can work for pictures) and then paste the IMG code into posts to make pictures show up inline.

Either your PSOM failed or the fuse is burnt, the E4OD works with the VSS and the PSOM to make it shifts, did the led on the O/D button start to flash? then the transmision was working on the fail-safe mode.
