New user here.....

I've got a '02 F250 4x4 and was wondering if anyone knows how to get just the fog lights on with the parking lights. I was thinking about pulling the switch out and seeing if it was fixable, but thought I would ask around first.

Any suggestions?

I am waiting for somebody with a spare switch assy to tyr what you are asking.....

I posted the below note on anothe question but may be of interest for your question.

Just went out, pulled the switch, and managed to break some of the plastic of the housing getting it out. Dang!

The tail end plastic shroud covering the switches is held in place by melted clear plastic pins that are not repairable (cheap Mexican crap) if you break them all off to get at the guts.

I did see that it is possible to figure out how the dimmer works and a place where I would try to spray the contact cleaner, so that is still an option to try.

I also can see that if you spent some time carefully opening it up, that it is probably possible to change the light switch so that you can PULL on the fog lights in the OFF or PARK positions.

Because the fog lights go off with high beam, (without moving the switch) I am sure that the high beam switch also cuts power to the fog lights through a relay.

I was able to do this right from the factory. The switch can be pulled out (fogs on) in the auto, park, and head lights on positions.

Maybe a Canadian only thing?

Try reading this thread about the fog light mod. I followed the directions and was able to accomplish what you are trying to do. The only problem was after I finished the fogs would still go off with the brights on. Thread Titled " OK..... SO WHATS THE EXACT ANSWER... "The thread is located just down the page from this one (right Now)

Joken,
I have an 02 lariat with factory fogs and my light switch pulls out to operate the fogs as Waxy mentioned in Auto position, Parking light position and with lights on.(except for brights haven't made that mod just yet).

it is in the faq forum. you have to jumper the wires behind the switch also. it blows one of the fuses when you turm them on but everything still works.
