Just got a new Ranger.... Decoding help welcome!
Hey guys.... Just came across a neat little Ranger I had to have from Nebraska. So I contacted the seller and we were able to get together on price. I ended up trading my 83 Ranger Base series for this 1985 XL Ranger. My new one has Cruise, A/C, the nice seats, etc. I would appreciate any and all comments on the 80's Rangers. Well since I left Kansas on my way back to Kentucky four different people have tried to buy it just because of the Diesel emblems. I turned the key over to see if it would start. Batteries were weak, but it fired right up. A/c wouldn't engage though. Looks like compressor is locked up. Luckily I found another compressor in the bed still in it's box. Interior is perfect with the 60/40 seats and working arm rest. Definitely preferable over the base series bench seat with the hole where the driver sits that I traded to him....
