What do you consider major overhaul?
Motorbug is sitting @ 400,9** on the od with all but 3 original injectors... and a fresh timing cover @ 399,*** due to me breaking it.
@250k or so she got a new tranny.
New bellowed up pipes right at 400k... and a new (used) turbo about 300 miles after the pipes.
Still wouldnt consider any of that major overhaul work. Bottom end and valve train are factory. Tranny is known fail point at about the time it failed... 200k or so.

My 'clock' is only 135,000, 'But', I used to drive part-time weekends for a van shuttle service over 5 years back and they had a fleet of 7.3s 15 people vans with over 600,000 miles on their 'clocks'. Maintenance was done on the vans.... but they were rarely down because of engine problems. The vans, once started up would stay running the whole day long without being shut off for 8-12 hours per day, so there was also just as much 'idle' time on these engines as there was 'road' time. Always had a spare key in my pocket because on average once a month someone riding in the front seat would hit the door lock as they were getting out and 'lock' the van up while it was running.

A quick check of our fleet records show a high of 358k miles and a low of 126k miles. All are still in operation with no major engine work ever.

My personal daily driver is about 1000 miles shy of 300k. I've had two injectors go bad (ended up having all 8 rebuilt) and had to replace the water pump around 250k. Still on the original starter, alternator, HPOP, LPOP, fuel pump etc...

My excursion has 282,000 miles on it. I had to replace, injectors, water pump orig lasted 280k, new alternator orig lasted 275k the oil pan was replaced due to the northern winters and salt. Just run quality filters motorcraft or raycor, and service regularly.

I think the highest "regular" on this forum without major surgery is Chris(F350-6) with 420,00 and counting. Or at least he is the one I always think of, there have been others that have many miles, but Chris is the one who comes to mind.

304,000 and going here. Many with more than me though. Just put 8 injectors in. Old ones were firing but had a slightly rough hot idle and were killing injector harness and IDM. On my third water pump, second replacement. Second alternator. 5th? set of batteries. Original tranny doing great.

That would be me. I've got 420something on it. I keep the odometer clicked over to the trip meter to keep an eye on fuel economy and make sure the gauge isn't lying, so I only look at the odometer every few weeks to make sure I'm not due for an oil change.

241k here, and I thought that was something. 420!? Nice work Chris!

Looking forward to the quarter-mil club. Couple alternators, one water pump. Original injectors and HPOP, LPOP, fuel pump. Surprisingly on the first tranny, but I know I'm on borrowed time there, so already have a slush fund waiting...if I can get off of Clay's website and finding things I "need".

My dually went 308k and Excursion 272k on stock longblocks. Each had over 100k with arguably poor tuning that likely contributed to their premature expiration.

2yrs ago I helped a friend swap injectors at 380k on his '99 F250 - I think he's close to 500k now. It is 100% STOCK. He is the original owner and the injectors are the ONLY thing he's ever done - and those had 160k miles on WVO! (a problem w/VO system likely aided their demise... )
