5.4 missing, need help
ok, so here it goes, got a 00 5.4 in a superduty, original motor, 204,000 miles, it is missing on the 3rd cyl back on the pass. side, it has 8 brand new motorcraft platinums plugs gapped at .056, 8 brand new coils, no CEL, so here is the problem, if you pull the dead cyls coil out, put a spark plug in it and ground it to the engine, it has spark, ok, reinstall the coil, run for 10 minutes, pull coil, and plug out plug is soaked with gas, no spark, ive tried switching around injectors, no change, ive tried using different coils and plugs in that cylinder, i got nothing, is there a special compression tester you need for this to check it, the one i have i could not get threaded in, thanks in advance!!
