i bought my 03 6.0 on april 19th it was in the shop after 1 week due to shaking , injectors. this past saturday went to shop again for more recalls, and a oil leak.. The dealership said it was leaking oil and theysupposably fixed it, now on front side of tranny there was a rubber boot, it is gone now and it is building oil in there.. and it is slightly leaking from bottom of the plate.. DO i have a lemon , will they replace the hole engine for me? Should they?
im so sick of all these dam problems can you please help me, what should i do??????????????
Complain about EVERYTHING. If they left a part off when they fixed it, make sure the dealership knows about it and get documentation of the complaint. Keep all your reciepts and documentation in case you have to use the Lemon Law.
Any time you have a product that has been designed and manufactured by fallable individuals, there are going to be design and assembly issues to be worked out but the frustration runs high when you pay the kind of money that these things cost and have these kinds of problems this early into ownership. And, all the dealer can do is scratch his head with one hand while scratching his **** with the other. Ford will find solutions to these problems when it becomes too expensive not to.
Thanks for the reply
im just so stressed out due to all this crap with the truck. It is at the dealer for the 3rd time now and they are going to fix the leak.. is there any other known problems?
This leak is showing up on a lot of trucks. Some seem to stop after the rear seal is replaced. Others, has something to do with how the crank is installed in the block. Other sources of leaks are missing oil o-rings in the turbo oil return line, missing o-ring in the dip stick tube and plastic burrs on the oil filler tube.
