A guy I work with has a raptor, the traction control is nothing to laugh at, I seen it drive through mud that I never thought it would make 1/10th of the way.
I just thought it was cool to see some EXTREME towing regardless of if it was a Toyota or not...it would just be awesome to see a F150 doing it too!
Parkland...I know I have a Toyota...I was merely asking which one of you would do this with your truck. I don't think I would want to do this with my new truck when I get one...but it was just cool to see them tow to places no one would think about taking a TT.
Parkland, it probably can, since that Toyota most probably is a diesel. They used a 4.5 older gas engine, now they use either the 4.0 present in the US market or a 4.5 V8 diesel, which is probably the one in that truck.
Could that Toyota pull 12,000 lbs and get 20 mpg empty?
yes it dose

It also has 2 fuel tanks (23.8 gal each).
you are right its a diesel cant say if its a 4.0 or 4.5! i have never seen a 4.0 or 4.5 in the states that came from here? i wish they would sale them here as the video shows its a hell of a wheeler!
The 4.0 V6 gas engine is the same found in the 4Runner and the FJ Cruiser. The 4.5 I6 is way older. The 4.5 V8 diesel is the current engine.
Here in Venezuela they sold those in the short wheelbase version and troop carrier version (long wheelbase 2 doors), and they used Dana 60 differentials on some of them, so they're very stout. Great off-roaders and all-terrain transports.
Yep it is most definately a diesel...you can hear it when he was doing some of the slow steady pulling....not to mention when he was going through the sand full out.
