I currently own a 49 Mercury M68 and am dealing on a 1942 . My question is are parts very hard to source for the Pre 1948 Ford 3/4 tons and 1 tons .

As long as they aren't Mercury specific, I would say these era trucks aren't too bad for parts. Now if you are talking one ton box, rear fenders and running boards, they are not available except used (and used hard). Mechanical parts quite plentiful from Mac's, Joblot and other truck specialists back East. Good luck, big pickups rock.
