The point is it illustrates the investment in the U.S., not only in highways but in all other types of infrastructure.
China doesn`t even come close, they have to start from now (almost zero).
No wonder just about every other country in the world if falling over itself (including China) to lend money to the U.S. at very low rates.

I like it a lot. We do need a whole mess of new freeways. The existing routes are inefficient and over crowded. The longer we wait the higher the price. We have about forty miles of freeway under construction and it has been for twenty years. Admittedly it has some serious challenges but sheesh! I wrote to Harry Reid about it [this is his state,] and all he could say was that it was fully funded.
