Putting the truck to work tomorrow. Leaving fora dog show in Ocala, Fl. with my fiver. Hasn,t pulled anything major since last month so it needs a workout. Glad the price of diesel has gone down some. Around 550 miles round trip.

Howdy Jeff! Good luck on the airframes test. That's what I did in the Navy, hydraulics and airframes. What happened to the truck?

idler pulley imploded

should have been simple but the previous mechanic messed up the bolt head

had to drill it out and retap it

i love working hydraulics, a couple of my instructors are former Navy mechanics

I think my idler might be going south also. I loved working on the planes. I just wish I coudl have gotten orders to another air station. Wasn't too happy where I was.

planes and choppers are interesting

i love electrical and mechanical, been in maintenance for ever

just amazes me that aircraft technology is so far behind everything else

last summer i got to work on a Huey, it was in sad shape nowhere near airworthy
i completely rewired the turbine and got it to start somewhat
we had a hung start , found out that was suppose to a variable guide vane controller
but it had grown legs, lol

I'd really like to get a gig out at the Strategic Air Command museum, just outside of Omaha. They have volunteers come out and help them restore aircraft to display. Something to do when I retire!
