i need some help please. i have a 1982 f150. the truck runs. but there is alot of wiers unpluged under the hood and i dont know where they hook up to. can someone help me?
"under the hook"?? you mean by the hitch? if yes, that would be the previous owner's mess he left when he disconnected one or more trailer lighting plugs.
if you're talking somewhere else on the truck, please be more specific so we can be more helpful
sorry, i was wondering if you were from a different part of the world where they called it a hook.
anyway, pics would help us figure out whats there so we can guide you in the right direction. does it look like the wiring in question is factory or aftermarket?
The first pic, don't remember what it's called, but it's a solenoid for increasing the idle when the AC is turned on.
Pic 3 under the booster, just options that your truck may not have, mine looks the same.
Pic 5 looks to be for the choke.
Pics 2 & 4, is that where the idle solenoid plugs into?
The harnesses in these trucks are more or less "generic" or "plug and play". If you ever decide to add some options, chances are, the plug-ins are there. You'll probably find the same situation on the inside of the cab too.
