identifying a 428
Ok guys, I am normally a 385 series guy, but I just acquired an FE. Now I am not totally inept in these. I have built a couple of them and stroked a couple of 360's to 390's. But this one looks different. The block looks the same but the intake looks different. The runners look taller and wider and more roundish.
The numbers I have so far are
Block C7ME-A
intake C8OE 9425-E
Any other hints on how to ID this without tearing it all the way down would be appreciated.

identifying a 428
According to my book the C7ME-A is a 428 block. One way to tell without tearing it down is to remove the freeze plugs and look inside at the cylinders, there should be a 428 cast into the cylinders at the center plug holes.
