Anyone have any experience with the polyurethane Daystar (or other) coil spring spacers? I'm just looking for a small amount (about 2") of lift without sacrificing any ride quality. My current coil springs are still good, so I was thinking about installing these spacers.
i have the 2 inch daystar spacers. all i can say is that they are great. gave me a full 2 inches with no settle. i beat my truck up pretty damn hard and these things have held up perfectly. id go with them before the skyjacker leveling springs (i have those too) good luck
Yes, AFAIK you will have to realign. I know I did when I installed my leveling kit (springs, not poly). Are you all sure you want them? You normally get what you pay for. They are prone to deterioration, and Im sure you dont want to find out at 55mph when they finally give out. Just an idea.
Thanks WheelMA1, The original rubber spacers are totally shot so I thought to get a little extra height to clear the 33's at full stuff.
I have the front coils out of an 86 2WD F250 HD. Cheap lift and I like the ride firmed up that way. I also put the rear leafs on but hat to remove the overload leaf. TOO stiff.
Thanks for the info'! Do you know if these are Polyurethane or rubber? If urethane, they should be pretty durable. If rubber they will probably go away pretty quickly. Thanks, again!
The ad says that they are in fact polyurethane. I hope they work out for your if you go down that road. brokebronco, did you have to fab anything up for that spring swap? How much taller are those than the stock bronco springs.

When I originally changed the springs, they were so wore out and s-wrapped that I got 7'' in the rear and around three in the front. Figuring the amount of sag in I probablly got aroung 4'' in the back and oround 2.5 to 3 in the front. As for mods, there were none, direct bolt up. The only real mods on the rear end were the brake lines when I installed the 10.25.
As long as you don't mind a stiffer ride, it is a good swap. Seeing as I like to use the Bronco as parts hauler and tow vehicle it was good for me.
