Navigation System

I am ordering a 2013 F350 and have a question about the factory navigation system. Do you have to maintain a SiriusXM contract for the GPS to work? Ford says it uses SiriusXM travel links.

I believe the navigation itself will work without a subscription. It's the traffic information, road construction info, etc. that you will lose out on without a Sirius Travel Link subscription.

x3. The Nav works on its own (even though it shares an antenna with the Sirius tuner). However, I'd suggest deleting this thread so as not to give the penny pincher's at Ford any ideas. If airlines can charge for luggage Ford could charge for using the Nav
