Yes, the connectors are the same.

You HAVE TO LOOK at the emissions label to see which calibration is being used. You CANNOT ASSUME just because of vehicle year or GVWR if it's OBD1 or OBDII without additional information.

Bottom line: GO READ THE LABEL!

stick with motorcraft o2's, I ended up replacing them twice because the no name quit after 3 months and the bosch was slow in it's reading.

something I found when I removed the bed of my f250 to replace the rotted bed rails was the vent line rotted into pieces. couldn't see it from underneath is was tucked between the frame and the tank. I could smell gas when I filled it, but never saw a drip as it just sit in the frame rail.

Agree with samsdad02. I only use NGK, DEPHI, or OEM o2s on my vehicle. All the others are cheap quality

I'm Stating mine is an OBD I, I know for a Fact it is, as I've had several Scanners Hooked to it & the Label ID in all my scanners also says it is... To be Correct about it though, it's more like an ODB 1.5, It's not truly ODB I nor is it truly an ODB II..

I Know I'm new to these forums, but telling somebody to " Please READ post # 16! " was a bit pointless...

*Edit*
Not going to edit my full post, I hate things like that even if I'm wrong..

So, I just got off the Phone with my Dad ( Mechanic for 25 years ) because, even I felt like what I typed was incorrect..
My Dad said that the ODB I was not made after 95... ODB 1.5 was only made for 1 year, and that was also in 95 & was a huge flop due to a flawed system interface. "96 and Newer is all ODB II period!

So even though all the Scanners ID it as an ODB I it truly is an ODB II system, and clearly I'm wrong & hope this info helps others like it did me as well.

Yes I'm the Person that thinks there right, but at least can admit when wrong..

It is an OBD1 calibration running on OBDII hardware platform and interface. Period.

You have to know the calibration which is found on the emissions cert label. This ain't rocket science, you just have to read the label to see what is in any particular truck (based on it's original state it was shipped to). "Green" states got OBDII cals while "Federal" vehicles got OBD1 (for the most part).

Lol projectsho is completely correct. Green state vehicles had to use obd2 regardless of gvwr.

Yes it is OBD I. HD vehicles over a certain GVWR run the OBD I software. the main differences are....no downstream O2`s and it doesn`t run missfire monitors, there are other monitors that are not used, I just don`t remeber them offhand.

I still haven`t gotten around to looking at it again, I`ve been busy.

Bought a 2000 F-350 4 x 4 in 2005, with 70,000 miles. Got 16.8 on an easy 150 mile trip in the middle of summer. Removed the box, installed a utility bed for my business, loaded the truck up to 9900#, which is what its GVW is, I got 13 on a trip, and 11 around the immediate area. Now, at 180,000 miles, and E10, I get 12.5 on a trip and 10.5 to 11 around the local area. Now there is 10% E in it, and I'm not seeing a drastic drop as you can tell. And this thing is loaded 9900 all the time. But my 08 Taurus is a different story- the mileage went in the toilet with the E10. I'm in NY, rural.
