So I'm trying to help my father find some good 35" tires for his '99 F250 SC LB 5.4 (He's no good at shopping, so it falls to me to make sure he gets something worthwhile). He needs a set of tires for muddy fields and wet/slick conditions as he mainly got the truck to take hunting, and from the little bit I've read online, Discoverer STT's are great tires. Wanted to see if anyone here has any experience with them, or has any other recommendations for something in that size and price range.
I have the ST's and they have been good for me so far, about 12,000 miles mostly on road. They work well in the snow and dirt as well. The STT's are more aggressive and should work really well in the mud.
Plus Cooper is one of the 3 remaining American made tire companies left. I just put a set of Hercules on my sons Jeep GC. Went into all the tire chains and asked what do you offer thats not made in China. Got a blank stare from most. One worked with me and said Cooper, Kelly and Hercules are the only remaining small tire manufactures left so I taught my son a lesson. They handle great in the mud and rain slick roads. Not sure about snow cuz it hasnt done that yet. They dont "sing" either.
