what do i do next?????

o.k. here it is again... i have an 03 f350 6.0 having major drivability issues ,when i accelerate from stop the truck feels like its bogging out like an old carb overfueling, when it does this it doesnt want to shift then it will eventually pick up take off like it should. while bogging out it pours out white smoke then when it picks up the smoke clears up. i know i have an exhaust leak i'll be changing my exhaust manifold to fix that.i just did an oil change yesterday no signs of coolant. changed fuel filters, drained water seperator virtually no sign off water in fuel .checked ficm voltage as suggested by service guy at ford when i picked up my new manifold.seems to stay at 47-49 volts that is if i'm testing it correctly! also running edge evolution programmer on level 3, tried setting back to stock smoked even worse.set back on 3 again just to be able to drive.please if someone has any guidance or suggestions fire away i'm waiting.any ideas would be much appreciated...

You pay to Play

Without any Fuel system Upgrades and being Tuned will shorten injector life

Sounds like a BAD Injector

Smoke smell like diesel fuel???

Any Coolant Loss?????

Could also be a stuck turbo...

I don't subscribe to the evil Edge talk. Been running one tooooooo long with zero problems. On multiple trucks. Not saying it can't, just don't focus on it.

Do you have any codes at all?

never smelled the smoke as it only happens when driving never at idle.i've detected no coolant loss and did just change oil yesterday no signs of coolant there either, and this has been going on for well over a week.also should mention it feels like it has a definite miss all through accel. and cruising.only code that keeps recurring is p132b which reads as turbo/supercharger boost performance a.also about two weeks ago i was getting a code for cam sensor so i changed it and that cleared without recurring.sorry it always seems as though i forget some info when posting and think of it later.

guess it would help to know what else has been done to truck.i've done a 4" turbo back mbrp exhaust
sinister egr delete
new hpop
new oil cooler (factory style)
use edge programmer
new icp sensor
new cam sensor
new ipr sensor
regular oil changes with ford filters and motorcraft diesel oil
diesel kleen on every fill up
motorcraft fuel filters more often than really necc. and last but not least that great parking break replacement and front hubs and bearing units
( now y'all know why i cant afford to drop it off at ford and let them go at it.much respect to the guys there but i'm officially broke.l.o.l )gotta laugh cause i still luv my truck!!!
oh yeah last oil change (yest.) added hot shot secret additive.

Okay, not sure where you live, but I would stop using the Ford oil and go to a 5w40 Rotella T or Mobil Delvac.

I think your code tells you time to check your turbo for sticking vanes...

Do you have a smooth cold start idle? If yes, HSS' is not your answer. Do what Benny said and at least smell exhaust at idle.

living in central jersey(unfortunately) the only advantage to that is that i'm about ten minutes from xdp's warehouse.oh and were still having 60 to 70 degree days right now.so i need to smell my exhaust i'm strangly o.k. with that i have been known to stand at the start line of our local drag track and breathe deep at burnout time...
truck starts and idles pretty smoothly but that missfire feeling i spoke about is present then to only on and off not as constant as when im under accelleration.
did pickup my blue spring kit with my exhaust manifold yesterday so i may try to get that done today can't hurt, right...also got scII from my brother in law got all the info from eds ficm site to program a load of paramiters and check out what i can find.will keep everyone posted

well my exhaust smells like exhaust not overwhelmingly strong smell of diesel...i was able to monitor ficm under use with scII ficm main power ranged solid46.5-48 no drops below that at any time. ficm logic and vehicle power never went below 13.5v.so they seem fine.icp was 641 at idle and anywhere from 1400 to about 4500 sometimes a little higher but not to often.ipr duty cycle% was reading 14.8 at koeo and 20 to 25 at idle shot up to 65-70 under accelleration.map was 14.5to 15 at idle and 28 to 30 under accelleration.all seems ok to me but if anyone knows diff. please school me.now i'm really thinking turbo, but i've got to get that exhaust manifold changed before i try to diagnose that...i guess?????

you have low boost only around 15psi Boost

the ICP SENSOR is programmed in the SGII WRONG

MAX ICP you should see is 4045 psi ICP theres a Saftey that opens at that point to so

first time i've ever used the sgII its on loan from my bro-in-law prob. did enter it wrong i'll hafta redo tomorrow an repost result.boost has been low and very choppy in how it raises it always used to be smooth and regularly would go up to 25-28 psi.thats whats making me think turbo.just need to get some help to change cracked manifold as i am somewhat disabled but need to eliminate that leak so it's not effecting turbo.really appreciate u pointing out that goof on the icp entry like i said dont know how i would get this all figured out without the help.big kudos to you blade i noticed u have been extermely helpful to so many on here.awesome kindness!!!

ICP 07E0221446 046205140646 3010 003900640000 Injector Control Pressure (PSI)
Key On = 0
Low Idle = 625.5
High Idle = 1400
1450
Operating Range = 0
4045
ICV 07E02216AD 0462451606AD 3010 004827100000 Injector Control Voltage (Volts)
Key On = 0.2
Low Idle = 1.0
High Idle = 1.8

Operating Range = .15
4.7

It also could be a Biased ICP sensor

There also alot of varibles when you take aany sensor value when Driving
For the most part all sensor values are Taken with the truck Parked do it like this

OPERATING VALUES
Just make shure the numbers are taken exactly like this
Truck in PARK OR NEUTRAL all times during test
ECT at 190* or close to And EOT at 185* or higher
A/C OFF
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

#1-------KOEO=Key On Engine Off =record EACH sensor value and POST IT!!
#2-------Low Idel (truck idel on its own)=record EACH sensor value and POST IT!!
#3-------High Idel (2500RPM)=record EACH sensor value and POST IT!!

Good Chance the DTC P132b is from exhaust leak

Post these Sensors also

BARO
MAP
