Mileage and Problems Update

Hey folks. Just checkin in to catch up and give an update of my mileage and issues. Had the truck about 5 months now and drove almost 25,000 miles. To include towing coast to coast, off roading, and city driving. Oil gets done 5-7k miles, fuel filters every 10k. Try to buy diesel at the same places when able but when goin cross country things change. Try to buy from reputable stations and keep the receipts until that fuel is long gone.

So far, not one hiccup, glitch, or issue worth mentioning. Just thought id share.

Good. You should go back a few pages, mix up your beverage of choice, and read my engine failure thread.

It was rough, got help from some great folks here on Fte. Basically I dropped an exhaust valve like the chassis cab engines were doing. Hoping its isolated to early job 1 builds.

He did. He had a Ford ESP plan with coverage to 150 or 200K miles. I believe his failure occured at around 120K miles. Total bill was $26K and he basically got a brand new 2012 engine.

Two things I'm not going to do.

1. Start a poo poo party. If you read my thread, you'll understand.
2. Allow my situation to take over your thread. You've been away for a while and I just wanted to direct you to a situation that you'd likely be interested in if you want a "roll call" on how everyone's doing, which is basically what your thread topic seems to be about.

My bad, I thought you meant overall MPG update not just stating how many miles are on the truck.

Ditto, 15000 miles 90% towing and not one glitch.

that being said, right around 20k i switched to Rotella T6 and noticed a significant increase in MPG's. not sure if i attribute it to the oil or the rings seating and the engine completing its break in.

My truck loves T6 as well. So much quieter and smoother running with it. Are you still happy with your lift and tires?
