Did a search and didn't see anything on BG additives. Has anyone here used their products? I did a few years back in a '82 Chevy 6.2 and it ran smoother and got about 3 more MPG. That was a fuel additive where you added one cap full to a 20 gallon tank of diesel. It also blew very little smoke out of the tailpipes(duals). Lovin' my 7.3. BG Company
I took my truck to Ford for a cooling system flush due to rusting of internal components. I was going to buy VC9, Ford's cooling system cleaner, which they had in stock, but decided to let them do it. When I got my invoice I was surprised to see that no VC9 was listed, but instead something called BG cooling system package. I did some research and came up with what you have stumpled upon.
I didn't really stumble upon the BG additives. I actually used the diesel fuel additive as stated in my post and had great results. I had also used the coolant additive in a fresh 454 Chevy and a new radiator with 3 gal antifreeze, and 3 gal of demineralized water and one of those zinc consumables you could get from J.C. Whitneys that hung down in the radiator neck on a cable. After 6 years of running it, there wasn't enough corrosion in the system to cover someting the size of a pencil eraser.
Knew someone who used the oil additive in the little 4 cylinder Chevettes and that stuff would almost quieten down a rod knock.
Think I will order some diesel additive soon. May go "all the way" with BG stuff.
