The stock cam with 1.7s is roughly the same as the only aftermarket cam that would work with the stock EFI SD system and stay within the limits of the 19lb injectors, so it's not worth the cost to change the cam IMO.

my truck is a 96 so no worries about speed density. I would definatly go that route if it wasn't maf though. Sorry i didnt specify

My engine is a 96 so no worries with the speed density. I would definately go that route if my truck wasnt maf. Sorry i didnt specify

Oh yeah.. doesn't change anything though, GT40s are still quite a bit too small for that displacement so the engine will make all it's gonna make by 4k or so and that suits the stock cam perfectly.
