I`m beginning to think that today`s motors are far too complex and need careful maintenance, other wise your kidding yourself. On the other hand my old 300-6 seems indestructible, even after 19 it keeps plugging away never complaining.

The 6.0 is definitely among the more picky, but it is one awesome piece of engineering...

It was a different ball game as the emission standards changed.

Yeppers, hence the learning curve.

Just keeps getting worse and worse for emissions too it seems.

My 2010 Bobcat runs rougher and idles at a much higher speed that my 08 did.

Oh yeah? Here I thought that off road machines and vehicles up here didnt have to follow emissions regs.

Thought that was the whole reason that Cat got out of making truck engines for semi's.

After seeing the screw up with Bobcats I`m inclined to believe all engines are now tightly regulated. I`m beginning to wonder just how soon and how bad they`ll screw up tiny engines like on chainsaws and weed whackers with regulations.

I know for sure not all engines in equipment are tightly regged. Probably getting worse and worse though.

Good thing that most of the time the emissions can be modded or removed!

I`d certainly count on it getting alot worse as time goes by since I can`t ever see it getting any better!
Eventually they `ll have it if ever you remove tan offending part, if you can, the engine won`t start or have very little power or go into a safe/limp mode.....

Good question haha. Far as I know, it seems like most vehicles are sold in california, and the emissions restrictor guys are from around there, and make it hard on all of us.

Guess maybe try and convince californians to quit buying cars? (IF the above is accurate, and im not 100 percent sure it is!)

Likely it is true but no matter as we can`t turn back the clock.
