Stabilizer on Superlift Steering?

I have a 6" skyjacker lift kit going in my truck right now. I also got the superlift superrunner steering. I was considering a steering stabilizer for it. I know how they mount it on a standard steering system, but does anyone know how to mount one on a superlift steering system?

I have the Superlift Steering System and love it, you won't regret getting it. Here is a pic below of what it looks like below.

Burg460,

I see where one side of the stabilizer attaches to the steering. Where does the other side of it mount, to a bracket to the frame? Did you fab up those mounts or buy it?

Burg460, is that some kinda idler arm on the right side? If so, where does it mount? Also, what does that setup cost.

The superrunner steering system has an idler arm that attaches to the axle drop bracket on the passenger side of the truck (drivers side axle). The Superlift drop brackets are pre-drilled for the kit. It shouldn't be too hard to get measurements and drill the holes in any other brand of drop bracket I wouldn't think.

MustangGT221,
Yes there is a bracket that should come with the super runner system that will mount to the frame. It is a fairly easy install. Like Mrwizard said, if you have a superlift lift then the holes are pre-drilled. If you need a better pic let me know and I will get you a more detailed one this weekend.

Vman,
There is a dropped pitman arm coming off the gear box then like a idler arm coming off the passenger side. This setup cost me about $450 about 3 years ago, I beleive it is still around that price. Very well worth the money.

Stabilizer on Superlift Steering?

I just bought it for $375 shipped, but I've got to fit mine to the skyjacker axle pivot brackets. Shouldn't be a problem after some creative work, but it won't fit by just drilling new holes. My query was on the stabilizer, was that connected with some kind of bracket to the frame? And does superlift have a special kit to put a stabilizer bar on their steering, or did you make it? I looked at the products on their website, and I have a catalog and I didn't see it.

If you want to see how the superrunner steering works, go here: http://www.superlift.com/ford_ttb_steer.asp

Stabilizer on Superlift Steering?

Mustang, its the same piece either way. It bolts directly onto the drag link (or whatever its called). The stabalizer kit comes with everything you need in order to intall it. Best part is it only takes but a couple minutes. In fact, the stabalizer is set up exactly the same as Burg460 in the picture above and I don't have the superunner steering, but it still attaches to the same spot.

Be sure and give us a full report on the lift and streering....I have been contemplating going to the superrunner steering also.

Burg460, since you have a 5 speed I have to ask.........did you run into any problems with the front driveshaft extending down to far and hitting the crossmember for the transmition? I have a 4", and I know for a fact that I couldn't go another 2" and not have to do some hacking on that crossmember. I suppose Mustang's will be the same also?...

I will be able to tell you when I put my front driveshaft back on. I don't have a front pumpkin in because I'm trying to get my ARB air locker and 4.09 gears setup and ready to bolt back in.

Stabilizer on Superlift Steering?

MustangGT221, I uploaded a few more pics of my SuperLift steering. I hope this helps answer a few of your questions.

gamehunter, my front drive shaft doesn't hit the cross member just driving around. It does hit it when I am flexing it and 4 wheeling but it still isn't that bad. I do need to make a modification to the cross member so it doesn't hit it, but it's not bad enough to bother me yet.

If you have anymore questions I will help you out as much as I can.

This is the bracket for the stabalizer shock that goes on the frame.

This is where the idler arm/SuperLift System bracket bolts to the suspension/frame on the passenger side. The only thing that connects on the drivers side is the pitman arm, the rest is on the passenger side.
