Headlights won't turn off! Help!
I had installed HID kit awhile back, so I'm not sure if that's the problem, or the truck. Pulled the hid fuse and they went off. Put it in and they came on and worked normally. Thought maybe it was a connection issue. Packed it up and left it as it was. Fuse in-lights on. Got to the hotel room and noticed they had come back on after I walked away.
As it sits the Hid fuse is pulled until I figure it out, but I'll need them while here and don't want to cycle the fuse 20 times.
Any ideas?
Sounds like something may be up with the BCM. Do you have anything tapped into the accy delay? Wondering if a connection is getting wet, or got wet, and is causing the shenannigans with the lights....
As I said, I installed an HID kit, I am not sure if that is the problem or not, if it is NOT the problem, I believe the problem has since destroyed the kit...
I will be taking this back to the dealer, Do you think I should remove the HID kit before hand? or do you think if this is something that is the trucks fault, they will overlook the HIDs and not try to blame them?
Todays update: As of late last evening, the lights started working perfectly again, drove all night with no issues, pulled the fuse before I left it over night just in case (it already turned the lights on once by itself, key removed, doors locked, etc, I didnt want it to do it again overnight) Work up this morning, put the fuse back in, seemed to be working normally again. On/off worked fight, I coudl hear the relays clicking correctly. did some shopping with the family, started to get dark, turned on the lights, nothing. Now they are completely dead. No switch will turn them ON. Checked all the fuses, and nothing is blown. Even when I twist the light controller, I dont hear the relays clicking like they did before, just the sound of the actual ****.
The strange part... the HID bulbs are blazing hot, and have a little flicker to them. Which makes me think that the HIDs had been getting constant power and eventually burned up, and now the lights are still sending a constant signal, but the HIDs are dead.
I am home now, and will try stock bulbs tomorrow.. If not, I have no idea whats next. When searching google for this issue, 1,000 articles show up, but none seem to have any solutions, just people asking, and some vague responses...
I would not think constant power would burn the HID bulbs out. I am thinking the problem lies with the HID kit itself. I am interested to see what you find because I have been looking to go HID on my wife's van.

I dont think the HIDs are the sole problem, as that would not explain why they would not turn off. If the HIDs were the issue, then they would still turn off when you turn the lights off...
