Stubborn Distributor

My dad's 78 F250 is in the shop. The guys are supposed to change the intake manifold gasket and they are having a hard time getting the distrubotor off the engine. Has anyone else had this happen and does anybody have any ideas how to get the thing loose? Thanks.

Yes It is a bish to get out. I used lots of WD-40 and a pry bar. Let the lube soak a bit. Then try to turn the distributer with the pry bar as leverage.

Put plain ol brake fluid around it, and let it soak for 24 hours or as long as you can, it worked for me.

Well, job's done (for now) It seems the distributor needed to be replaced anyway (?) but the truck runs better now, so thats good. Thanks for all the attention.
