new truck...build thread

hey,

i just bought a 95 f150 with a 5speed OD its got 6 in a row and as of now it dont go.. when i turn the key the fuel pump turns on and the engine has that click but when i go to turn the key to actually start it nothing happens...have some ideas as to what this could be. this is how i got it body is beautiful on it only rust is under the taillight on the driver side... the frame however towards the rear of the truck is going to be the problem. its not the worst. but it needs help. the rear tank looks like its ready to fall out. and im going to need new leaf hangers and mounts and probably new leafs idk if they are cracked or anything. overall its not in terrible shape. it was driven by an older guy, he passed away and it was parked for 2 years then i scooped it up.

oh and i forgot to mention that i bought it how it sits for $200 lol all the work on this thing will be done myself but here is a list of things that has to get done..
  1. rip the damn plow off!!!!
  2. get it running replace the starter solenoid and get her a new battery
  3. after i get it running see what and if there is any clutch problems (PO said there might be
  4. then do a suspension tune up
  5. and reg tuneup, plugs, wires, oil, tranny fluid, ect.
  6. and then undercoat the **** out of it!

Welcome to the site and the first post. Consider updating your profile to show what state you live in.

Nice find for 200. You could sell the plow and make money or at least off set the parts you need. To clean up the back half plan to pull the bed off, makes it so much easier to clean and fix stuff.

My son and I did this very thing last winter to his 94 f150 5sp 6 banger, not to the extend Brad is doing. Lots of great rebuild threads around here too.

Here is ours.
