Obviously it won't show service or accident history like an Oasis and/or Carfax report might, but it's still interesting to see the summary, style & trim, equipment, colors, tech specs etc. of your potential new X, as it left the factory.
First off, the engine I did the blowby and everything is good. When it was started, there was no smoke at all.
Transmission, the oil is not black/dark. I smelled the oil and it's not burnt. So that is good.
Here are the surprises. When I got there, There was new rims and tires installed. I forgot to look at the brand of the rims (I am already lying down in my bed) But the tires are Dick Cepek All terrains 285/75/16 and they are pretty new. Probably 1000 miles the most.
What I saw kinda took me off guard because the speedometer is in km/h. When I looked at the door sticker, it said CANADA and it has the Maple Leaf sticker. Under the hood it says "Non-Catalyst". I dont know what to take from that if it is a good thing or a bad thing. I looked under the body, there are no rust from ice from what I can see.
The shocks has been replaced with Pro Comps and it looks like it;s been there for a while.
Here is the Shocker. The speedometer is in km/h and the mileage was 180604 when I left the house of the seller. When i got to my house it became 180648. My house is around 30 miles from the place I picked it up from. So it seems that the mileage is in kilometers. So basically, if i am doing my math right, the actual mileage of the X is 120xxx. That got me excited
for $8500 that is the story of how I got a new X.
