Spend many of hours in line a the I.F. border crossing, always fun times. Can't imagine the paperwork you have to have to bring a vehicle across. Took across a watercraft a few years back and had to a binder full of paper with me to make that happen. Good luck and hope it drives well for you. Post some pictures.
Actually unless I'm horribly misinformed I really need next to nothing to import. I've made so many calls it's scary. all I need is the bill of sale and the title. You have to send the vehicle information to US customs at least 72 hours before you cross. On the Canadian side I have to pay my taxes and a fee to have the vehicle registered and inspected. I have 45 days to get it up to Canadian safety standards (only daytime running lights)

I think that's accurate. My issue was I was a US Citizen and the watercraft was registered here so there hoops to jump through on how long it was staying and it's purpose for being up there. I think you are fine if you are end registering the vehicle in Canada.

Is there a metric speedometer cluster or did they all use the same ones?
Great to hear, John. I knew you would be loving that thing. Now you know the rest of us aren't just blowing diesel smoke when we talk about our MPGs in these monsters! Again, don't let your wife drive it! You will never see the driver's seat again...

She's afraid to drive it for now at least. The kids loved it! Although it was a little hard for the girls to get in and out of. The girls told me that I'm not allowed to let it get messy like the van and explained that if I cleaned up after they got out it would never be messy when they got in. They didn't seem to grasp that I had just spent more time in it than they would in a month and it was still somehow clean.
I'll get some pics up as soon as I get it home to canada, I just have one I took of the wife standing beside it today.
