I am currently working on a 2009 6.7. The truck came in with low power. I hooked up my computer and got two active codes P040D (exhaust gas recirculation temperatur sensor A circuit high) & P0528 (fan speed sensor circuit no signal) then I ran a key on engine running self test and got code P2263 (tc/sc boost system performance) I have checked the exhaust pressure sensor and tube to make sure they weren't pluged. The truck is slow to build up boost but the problem seems to be irratic. Does anyone have any ideas or know how to tell if the dpf system is stopped up?
If this is a stock Ford truck, the 2009 is a 6.4L instead of a 6.7L.
Might want to ask the 6.4L folks.
In the 2011+ 6.7L you should be able to get the soot GPL of the DPF.
An active regen begins at 2.66 GPL so any number way above that would be a concern.
I don't know what Ford considers plugged but I would guess over 5 would be bad.
Not sure if the 2009 6.4L has such as computer option but it must know when to active regen.
