checking for recalls?

checking for recalls?
What are the ways that I can check into if all of the recalls have been done to my 96 explorer? Is this something only the dealer can do? Or is there a web site or phone# I can go to that allows you to put in your vin and check against the recalls for that vehicle?
Just wondering, I was at alldata and saw a recall for the balljoints and can't remember if they were ever changed on my truck.

You best bet is to get your dealer to do it but if you go to www.flatratetech.com and ask in the forum there someone will check it for you.
It might take them a day or so but someone will do it I'm sure.
All they will need is your serial number.
The only recalls I can remember for your Exploder would be the Firestone tires and the front sway bar end links.
