6.0 Sluggish performance

Working on 2006 6.0L has 120k in the morning under accerleration runs terrible whole truck shakes. Throughout the afternoon and warm up seem to run better but there is still a noticeable lack of power and stumbling, skipping etc.. , I also notice the concern when idling basically just not idling smoothly you can hear a skip overy so often. so far tried disconnection egr, icp, and ebp no improvement. The ficm has been repaired and ipr replaced prior. Looking for some assistance. Please Help

Are the fuel filters fresh Motorcraft? How about oil and filter? Many post the truck runs better with the 5w-40 oil, especially when the temps go down a little. How about the oil filter and cap?

Scan for codes, are you getting a Check Engine Light? You can have code without a light.
If all that's good, I'd check batteries/charging system, double check FICM, then fuel pressure. If you know someone with AE have them (or the dealer) do a contribution test. Could be one or more injectors. Stiction is a common problem, the lighter weight oil can help, some have had luck with oil addatives like RevX.

I had this problem a few times. It normally got worse as time went on until an injector finally went out. Last time I put new o-rings and copper crush rings and it cleared right up.

Yeah its about time to change the oil going to try the 540 with the hot shot additive to see if that makes a difference first.

Very wise choice...

A buddy of mine had two injectors fail seperately because he used Lucas Gas/Diesel additive and it gummed things up. After replacing the two injectors, we changed the oil and I added the spare bottle of HSS I had leftover and he hasn't had a problem since.

This may not alway be the case as some injectors may be too far gone. But, take the time and check the FICM voltage (logic and main) KOEO, cranking, and while running. Also, per rusty, make sure you have the correct Oil cap and Motorcraft filters.
