351w swap
Hi, I currently have a 1993 ford f150 5 speed manual with a 300 straight six in it. I absolutely love this motor and have had no problems with it at all. This truck is my daily driver and could use some TLC. Im going away to college so i getting a vehicle to go back and forth. I love working on trucks and my plan is to completely restore this truck. Included in my plan is to swap out the 300 and drop in a built 351w. I was wondering just how difficult this swap is going to be?

The swap is involved but entirely doable, using a donor truck of the same year would be ideal since you need quite a few parts besides the complete motor like the mounts and frame towers, rad and hoses, flywheel, engine wiring harness and computer.

No the body is the same except for the front clip but the frames are not and the '87 wiring harness definitely is not directly compatable with your truck so this isn't an ideal candidate.
