Rear Brake Drum Compatability

Which Year model range will the rear brake drums work for a 52 F 1? Only 48 thru 52?

AFAIK, any 2" rear drum up into the early '60's will work. F-100's/F-150's after that went to 2-1/2" wide brakes. I don't have the books to compare p/n's, maybe NumberDummy can weigh in. I did a search on NAPA's website and a '59 used the same part number.

Thanks Ross, I searched all way up to 65 so far trying to find one in stock locally. Closest is 52 miles away so far. Still searching.....

I was surprised that AutoZone isn't carrying them any more. Have you tried CarQuest?

Yeah but at Carquest it says any model older than 1975 call the store. Of course they close at 8:00 pm around here. Napa also closes at 8:00. The big 3 stay open till 10:00 pm
