Both of the replacement pumps run , the old one does not . He is using a fuel supply from a jug hooked directly to the pump , Fuel siphons into the new pump ,but nothing comes out , Its definitely the pump..
I only can see his possible location by Google Earth, and in the border line between Illinois and Indiana on the I70 I can see a truck stop place there, and I could see that is between Marshall and Terre Haute.
Auto zone pumps .. Rodney did the conversion himself years ago , he knows what he is doing , for sure ..
both pumps run & he tried switching them around since the inlet & outlet are not labled ..
I don't doubt he knows what he is doing. I was thinking more along the lines that the electrical could be hooked up backwards and the pump was spinning backwards or something. I have seen that before with electric fuel pumps where the connections aren't labeled for the electrical and share the same type of wire connector.

I wish I could be more help.
I'll pass that on ..Thanks .
You may be on to something but I get his voice mail & haven't heard back ..
Yeah I don't know either, but if the pump is running backwards, you can't just switch the hoses around and have it work. The pumps are only going to pump fuel when they are running the right direction.
That's it for my arm-chair quarterback routine here. He is the one under the truck. I am just speculating. Hopefully he has what he needs to get the job done.
Searching in the web I found this:
The strainer that came on the pump from autozone had disintegrated and fallen off and there was a large piece in there. I found another one actually I must have missed when I first replaced it from an older pump, more of a thick canvas looking material. between the two pieces of debris in there they'd get sucked up against the intake and I wouldn't get any fuel.
