rear main seal
I just replaced my rear main seal when I did the clutch. The problem is, it leaks worse than before. It had rope packing befor and I went with a rubber seal. The bearing cap has a "tit" in the seal groove that hold the packing in place, was I suppose to remove that when I put in the new seal?

yeah that little pointy thing was meant to keep the rope seal from moving. You should knock it out with a little chisel or something and use copper RTV on the new rubber seal. The rubber seal might not have seated properly with that little metal thing in there.
