This weekend i got some new stuff for my truck: Nerf bars, Lighted visor, Brush gaurd, non bent hood(like the old one was), grill thats not broke, and bumper attaching reese hitch (until i order a class III)
I was wondering if anybody had any precautions to take before or while installing any of these. Any hint's or tips for doing it?
I already got the hood, grill and reese on and will probably finish the nerf bars toinght.
Thanks for any help.
Put masking tape on the paint to draw marks on for aligning the visor. Then when you're SURE you've got it right, drill thru the tape so the hot filings don't melt into your paint.
yo,
for the brush guard;
your bumper may not be "level"; so start there and level it\then use the masking tape to line and mark the holes, if any that will be drilled; then prime the holes (and around the front and back bumper area).
