That is a ZF6 trans, available in SuperDuty's from '99 & up.

Nice X. It would make a sweeeet tow rig. I love my BTS trans but the extra gear(s) 6spd offers are nice.

The ZF6 has a granny "Low" plus an overdrive, thus it is a nicely spaced 4 speed with a low and an overdrive. When geared with 4.30's it makes a very nice tow rig when connected to a V10. I use mine for towing a 12k boat.

Now I want to do a swap...I have always wondered why they wouldn't make that transmission an option for the Excursion. I like that someone has paved the way for others to complete this swap!
