eBay lock actuators?

Some of them won't let you lock/unlock by hand. Why don't you do the tin foil fix on them????????

They do look like a great deal, but one of our members installed them a year and a half ago on his F250 and both are dead already. In some cases you get what you paid for, and in this case that seems true.
See these two threads for more info on the aluminum foil fix. Takes about an hour to do each door and it seems to be working well for almost everyone. All five of mine are fixed, and it cost me nothing but a small strip of foil!
