So recently and finally changed my injectors after accidentally trashing them with a bit of water (well more like I finished them off). Change injectors, injector cups and today pulled the fuel line and replaced it with Barricade MPI/Fuel Injection Hose 3/8 diameter from the tank to the back of the fuel pump and placed a filter closer to the tank than the pump and I did this to eliminate the quick connect because it was letting a LOT of air into my fuel. So much that my fuel looked like carbonated diesel going through the filter.
Now the fuel is free of air minus the large bubble at the top of my pre-pump fuel filter that hasn't worked it's way out yet and a lot of the ticking has gone away but I still have a ticking issue. Seems it's on the passenger side more than the driver's side. Could this be a push rod or the CPS as I did recently put a grey CPS in.
Anyhow here is a video. I start on the driver's side then move to the passenger side. You can hear the ticking towards the last half of the video...
Sorry for it being dark, it was late.......
Any input is appreciated.
I also did run tests and check for codes. I was getting.....
P1298 Injector driver module failure (Probably because of my IDM mod)
P0269 Cylinder 3 injector circuit contribution balance fault
P0284 Cylinder 8 injector circuit contribution balance fault
I had thought that at one time too and you may be right. The back bolt on that side has the head missing and there is a slight leak on #7. Very slight, so you may be right. Guess I'll put that on my todo list. Anyone had any experience taking the exhaust manifolds off?
