Driving an 02 F350 with 7.3L powerstroke and 4wd. Right now I've got Nitto Terra Grapplers on it. Unfortunately they don't grapple the Terra very well. Actually they will spin on wet grass. Also, my property in Central Tx has very sandy loam soil. Been damn near stuck a few times. Any recommendations for something aggressive to get around the property but will still run decent on the highway between Houston and the country? I'd appreciate any input.
Also, any recommendations on swapping out the rear end for a posi-track?
i really like the Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx on my stock set of wheels (only 32s), they have been excellent in everything from sand to snow that ive gone through. I know you dont have this problem in texas... but in snow here i usually dont need 4x4 with it. nice tires. i have BFG A/t KOs on my other set of wheels, but they are near bald so i cant really get a good review of them. i am probably going with nitto trail grapplers for my new tires though, have heard plenty of good things about them
I've run the BFG in dirt/sand and they did great. I have a friend in central texans and another in weather ford whose ranch I frequent with the same sand. Haven't been stuck once with the TA KO
Looked at the General Grabber and Grabber At2. Both look pretty good. I've got the BFG AT KOs on my jeep and have run them on trucks and suburbaban in the past. Just not sure how they'll fare with the weight of this truck.
Have a 2002 F250 ourselves. I would not recomend the General Grabber AT2s. We have them in 285 75 R16 and been stuck more then once and gotten flats with them not to mention 6K miles on them not much tread left on them. Plus they sing like crazy. As soon as money comes up getting the 285 or 265 75 R16 BF Goodrich TA KOs had them on our last 02 and they did well have them also currently on our 86 F150 4x4 runing 31 10.50 R15 not one flat, never stuck in that truck (not to mention we drive it mostly in winter), and 33-34K on them tires and very little wear and have never sung (the radio was broken in the truck 10K miles of that 33K so I think I would hear them sing) 3 years no problems. Also have Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs on our 97 Expedition in 265 75 R16 and so far so good but only a few weeks of driving on them. Very little singing will be testing 4wheel drive as soon as snow hits. But still my favorite tire will be the TA KO by BF Goodrich great tire for the money. By the way we live on backroads so we go through mud, snow, sharp rocks, and dirt roads, plus living at a current counstrouction site I think that speaks alot for the KOs.

I have BFG AT KO 's on on 7.3 excursion and I love them so far! in 10k miles they shave shown no tread-wear yet. I have driven the truck through 12 inches of wet thick sticky almost sewer clay like and never got stuck! the only thing is these trucks love frequent tire rotations.
