Hey guys, I figure that I would post some pics of the Trailer Demo Race that dad was in a couple months ago. The pickup was a 1970 1 ton 360 built to a 390 which later found out that is only had 30 miles on the motor. the races where held at the Hermiston race track on July 28th this year. There was only three racers that turned out but it was still a blast. Dad took first place with the old Ford. Don and his son Harley did a lot of work to this thing too. We are hoping that next year there will be a few more(Hint, Hint Anybody?).
When we first got it stacks were just for looks at that point
After paint.
Ready for the race.
We also have a video of the race that I'm going to post soon, I will also take pics of the aftermath.
Awesome, Dad Is going to give me that 68 behind the barn for next year. That was the one he wanted to use but the tranny was starting to go bad. He forgot he had 4 C-6's hidden away.
Well, its about that time of the year again, for the bump 2 pass trailer and boat races. There wasn't much damage after last years race, so we just pulled the fender out away from the tire, touched up the paint and installed a better seat. Now the trailer is a different story, we decide to start over and well... Its a Beauty!!! The trailer sat in the mountains for close to three years and Mr. Squirrel decided it was now his home.
Well tomorrow is the day. We have scrambled around this week to try to get the pickup looking decent again after the last race. Here are some photos after the last race.
Fixed up and ready for the race.
