Okay - this is the one we've been ironing out in the Members Area
Same rules as word morph, BUT!
Add, remove, or change 2 (TWO!) letters or less. Switch positions of up to two pairs of letters
EXTRA POINTS for:
ERASING a word
SPLITTING (spawning a new) word(s)
SPLITTING a word must result in each word having AT LEAST 3 letters
*Otherwise it would be too simple
A position switch counts as a single move. We can do 2 moves. We cannot do everything listed above to both letters, each change is a single move out of two possible.
Suppose I have the word "Barber" to deal with. I can split it (doesn't count as a move), and add an "E" to "BER", so it reads "BAR BEER"
~To split a word is NOT a move, out of your two moves. If it can be done, it's a bonus move. Likewise combining a set of words is a benny
~The words do not have to read as a sentence, or even be related
B and R removed from BAR could set it up to be ERASED in one move by taking down the "A" -
Or it could be changed to BAN, the B dropped in a turn, and it would take two moves to erase it by taking the A and the N away.
Obviously we can also rip letters from a word to add to the other
WHATEVER IS LEFT MUST BE A REAL WORD OR WORDS in some known language
If a third word is created - it wins the round.
If all words are erased - it wins the round
If a word(s) is spelled wrong or does not exist, it loses the round
You MAY NOT answer your own last post, that would open the doors to setting up your own final solution (plus it would be spam, which is not allowed. Thus we don't do that...)
*as far as anyone knows
*I wonder if it should be a rule, or just a courtesy to explain our moves? It does seem stylish, also simpler to understand what happened. I think it should be optional though
(so not to spoil strategy)
