My AC is not very cold. Its been this way since I first drove it. I would say it blowing air in low sixties High fifties out side temp is in the 90. It does not seem to cool down the cab down.
I also notice that when turn of the AC it blows hot air.
Not sure what year your truck is
But since you posted in the 6.7 area I will assume it is under warranty
Take it to your Ford dealer service department and the will check the temp coming out of the vents and if needed will fix it
It might need a recharge and that is a simple fix
Good luck .....
I have the manual controls and if I only use A/C and recycle air, it's not all that cold.
But there's a max A/C button (forces recycle) and it will freeze me out.
Never have I had a vehicle with air this cold.
If that's not the case, take it in as the others said.

Thank you.
I measured the temps on a digital thermometer at 55 to 58 on a 90 degree day. Later that year the evaporator coil failed. After the coil was replaced it is still reading in the same range as before the coil change.
I began noticing the AC getting worse before it failed. Just wasn't getting cold enough. Ford had a quality issue with the supplier of these coils. My build date was December 2010 (second job truck) of the 2011 model. Let us know what you find out. Good luck. If the coil is failing, it is a lengthy job. The entire dash needs to come out.
Yeah I ran my for 2 hours today on MAX AC and It never got cold. It is like the system starts off cold and then starts blowing warmer air when the engine heats up.
I will take it it tuesday. I don't want the NOX update so I have been avoiding the dealer. I will leave a note on the dash and duck tape ODBC connector.
mine blows down to about 40 degrees on a hot day, not the coldest but its a pretty darn good AC unit. I seldom switch mine to max. I am happy with the AC unit in my truck works as it should.

My truck's issue was similar but it eventually got and stayed warm from the start. There could also be a problem with the blender doors. If they suspect a leak, they will most likely want to refill it with a dye containing refrigerant. When they did that on mine, I had a nice UV dye all over my garage floor the next morning.
I need to get mine in for a chronic problem I have with the 4 to 5 shifting. I know there was at least one new TSB for the NOx sensor. Are there problems with it?
For $40 you can go to oreilly (or wherever) and get a 134a charge bottle with a pressure gauge and give your a/c a charge. The pressure gauge reads the psi on the low pressure side. If the ambient temp is 90, the system should be around 55psi if I remember right. This is with the compressor running.
I have topped off the systems in two super duty trucks, expedition, and an f150. They all were low from the factory.
I've never been able to get 40° air though. That's pretty cold, you're lucky.
With the way the new blend doors work and the ability to turn a dial and specify that you want 72° air, you may want to be sure that those are working correctly. Especially if as you describe, the air is colder at first. When the engine coolant warms up you may be heating up the heater core and blending hot air with your a/c without knowing it.
