I hate you guys... 1st gen Banks Turbo kit.
So I finally saw a banks kit pop up on a truck that is being parted out. It's been almost 4 years and I haven't so much as seen a running truck with one so I assumed it just wouldn't happen. And at $1700 +tax/shipping for a new one I wasn't going to bother. So I shot the guy an email for ****s and giggles and he wants $300 for it. Bottom end of the engine went on it, and he isn't willing to put the money into fixing a 84. I would take the truck but the space isn't willing.
I've seen the part list for these kits floating around, but the search in this forum and I have a hate-hate relationship, if someone had it that I could grab I would appreciate it.
-Edited the thread title to be more specific.

At least it was late enough that they didn't stamp the 6.9L on it.
It looks like this, stock photo stolen for the occasion.
Drive train is still destined for a 4wheeler Bronco, not a tow rig so I'm not going to cry over a little lost power, mostly for fuel economy and passing power. She just takes to long to build the power to get around these Cummin's trucks through the mountains up here on the single lane passing spots.

in the words of my former boss..."DOOOOO IT NOWWW!!!!"..lol
a turbo will make an unbeleaveable diffrence in your truck. and if its all there, 300 isnt a bad price. i paid 500 for my wastegated banks used. if your pulling it off the truck make sure you get all the little brackets and such that go with it.

I'll be pulling it myself yeah. I have a few things left to do on the truck before I install the turbo, but it's to good of a price to pass up on and maybe see another in 3 years.
That and it'll motivate me to stop putting off the front end alignment and getting my trans looked at and possibly rebuilt. The E4OD is at 397k and it's starting to shift a little slower than I'd like.

Looks like I'm heading out Wednesday morning to pull it. Am I going to need anything past a good socket set, wrenches, screw drivers, breaker bar? Anything I need to keep an eye our for?
I'm going to park my truck next to it and pop the hood and pretty much grab anything I don't see on my engine.

Yeah the newer clips are nice, always loved them, it isn't that hard if you have the generation just before, but I think if I remember correctly you have to drill a few holes.

No, I've hesitated from neutral dropping this trans, as its got higher km's on it. But you must post the video now.
