help me out if you can and when i'm done i'll post a web page of all the mods ive done.
You can't use a 9" because the speedo won't work. There is a way around it but it's tricky. The 8.8's are also decently stong, you can modify them alittle to easily handle 500hp. Lowering these trucks isn't very common because of it's boxyness and it doesn't look as good lowered, airbags are doable but not really recommended. Anytime you lift or lower a vehicle you change the caster and camber angles. You'll need to get camber adjustment bushings which an alignment shop will do for you. The 18s' should fit. Won't burn out the o2 sensors. The 96 is different than my 95, you have more than one. If you remove the cat, you might have to get a "fake" o2 sensor, that tricks the computer into thinking the cat is still there by supplying the correct voltage, go to FTE's exhaust forum for that question. 6 psi boost w/o mods to the injectors, bigger fuel pump(s), and other small things is a safe limit. You'll want to get a computer chip for the speed density system or MAF system when you're done with all the air mods your going to do. The injector choices are out there, don't even worry about those haha. Alternator should fit ok, not 100% sure, probably need the bracketry.
Primary rig is Green Thunder:
95' F-150 XLT 4x4, 302, 5 spd, MSD 6A, Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust, Sunroof, Clear corners w/ Diamond headlights, CD player with 2 10" subs and some 32" BFG Muds .
That's it for mods now, saving for a Stang. Check out my Gallery for a look-see.
