Sometimes when I start my truck, I find that the radio is not on the station that it was on when I previously shut the truck off. It defaults to station 88.9 for some reason. It doesn't happen every time, and I would say it does this probably 50% of the time. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Thanks in advance.
This typically happens when the battery voltage drops too low during cranking. Does the truck sound weak when starting? Check the battery and alternator...
It doesn't sound weak at all. It has done this for the entire 4 months I've had it. I guess its time to take it to the dealer. I was hoping to wait and have them look at it when I bring it for my first oil change, but its starting to annoy me more.
I thought it odd at first but noticed a fair amount of my songs were "incompatible" according to the system, so I just assumed thats why it did it. What was weird is that I have FM1 all preset, and when it would do that it would be on 88.9 or something like that. Maybe the radio just doesnt like your choice of programming lol. If my radio started doing that other then what it has, I would mention it to the dealer at my next oil change.

I'm going to make an appointment soon to bring it in. Hopefully they can get it straightened out.
UPDATE - took my truck to the dealer and they updated the SYNC system even though I was not showing that I was due for an update on sync my ride. Unfortunately, this did not fix the problem, as it started doing it again the day after I got the truck back. Looks like I'll be taking it back to the dealer to see what they say.
