Micah and me walked the mountain. It was about a 2000' climb through pretty rough terrain. Landed on my tail a few times, thats for sure! Hiking through the snow was definitely a new one for me!

That makes it double tough, having to climb through snow. What rifle did you have?

I also have my mom's .243. Never hunted with it, but she shot her big horn sheep with it.

She loved it, used if for almost everything, except moose. I prefer a little more stopping power, myself. But, she could outshoot me any day of the week.

That's what the .50 is for. Just not sure I want to hump it all through the mountains chasing Micah's big tail.

The Barrett is 33 pounds. Add the scope, mag and ten rounds of 750 grain ammo and it tops 40. At least I have a sling

More suited good a fixed position. I built a trailer receiver mount to mount it to a pinhole and good of the back of a truck to.
