I have a 2000 e-150 club wagon xlt, I noticed after a heavy rain that the interior was damp seats visors and celing. So I climbed up top an saw a couple of rust holes on the rear of the van by the light over the doors ( the roof) so I patched them up with bondo.
I noticed inside the gutters the sealent or what ever the white strip is was really cracked, idk if this could be letting water in so I sealed it all up with some silicone.
After this I thought my problem was fixed, but it has rained since and the vans interior was damp again. The rear door seal is kind of lose I snap it back in every now and then, but even if it was leaking it shouldnt cause the celing up front by the drivers to be damp along with the seats.I really dont want to pull the inside top out to investigate it looks like it would be a pita with all the ac and lights.
Are there any notorious leaky places I could check, I crawled around up top and did a thurough check and could not find any where else where it might be leaking ???
It can leak around the third light too...Other than that I wuold re-check everything including the Bondo ...Is the windshield seal good ?...If the Van is unloaded, the front is higher than the back so all the water goes forward....
