Finally a little progress

After neglecting Teddy for the last couple of months. I finally got a good full day of work on him today. Finished the brake lines, throttle linkage and intake plumbing.
Is that day light or a train light at the end of this tunnel?
Wahoo!! it was a good day in the garage.

Front clip

Got the front fenders, grille and hood on.
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
After mounting the front clip it looks like I will have to redo the cooling fan mount and set it back about 3/4". With the front clip on, the radiator support tilts back some and now the fan is a little to close to several things.
Then today I mounted the air-box and MAF. I'm hoping the air-box will quiet the intake system.
Then finished the wiring for the front clip. I added relays for the head lights and horn. Still have some clean up work on the wiring under the dash and some final power and ground connections, plus running wires for Oil & temp sending units (adding gauges instead of warning lights) it is coming together slow but sure.

Still need to source a front seat from the pick-a-part yard and a half dozen other things.

Lookin good! any chance that is "COLOR CE: C = Wedgewood Blue / E = Colonial White" paint? I just copy and pasted that right out of my 59 thread from a while back.

Thanks Steve & Chet!
Chet The original color of my truck was Wedgewood blue, but this paint mix is a 1959 ford color code L dupont #181-83786 blue metallic and the white is a mix trying to match the color of condensed milk.LOL
OK got to go back to the garage!

So yesterday I pulled the radiator and fan shroud out to shorten the shroud by 3/4". While it was out, decided to change the plumbing on the cross over lube by moving the discharge tube. It was sorta pointing to the right and down, and that made for an interesting hose connection to the top center of my radiator. So I cut the tube off and move it to be pointing up then brazed it and a patch over the old hole.

Got every thing painted up this mornin, and hopefully reinstalled this afternoon.
Then we'll be back on track!

My wife is completely tolerant of my obsession with Teddy, but lets just say that move might spoil my dinner. I know there is a line in the sand somewhere between the shop/garage and HER house (I have crossed it a couple of times) and its best left uncrossed!
That is a double oven is one we picked up at the re-store. It works good for small parts with my Eastwood starter P/C system.
I like the fact that you use your truck for work, play and getting the next generation involved. Teddy will be my DD and then passed on to my grandson.

What if someone who shall go nameless put their manifolds in the house oven to get the oil out of them prior to painting and when the war department came home, it smelled just like the old truck was running inside the house?

Once again Wally, great looking work there. When I need to turn a sharp corner with radiator hose I use a galvanized pipe fitting. Usually 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 pipe. For instance if you need to turn 90 degrees and change hose sizes alsoto fit let's say a gm radiator cooling a cummins engine in a ford, a street L has different OD at each end. The male threaded end gets a good grip on the hose, but the female end has that nice raised ridge to get the clamp in front of..... All my ridiculous shenanigans aside that's an amazing job on that crossover. I have tried a couple of times to braze something but failed miserably.
