I am going to buy an F-250 with the PSD. I have the opportunity to buy a new 03', with the 7.3L, from my dealer at a very attractive price. However, I'm interested in the 6.0L motor. The truck is mostly going to be a freeway flyer, with some weekend towing of a 24 foot fifth wheel. My question is twofold:
1. Is the 6.0L really that great an improvement over the 7.3L? If so in what ways.
2. If I settle on the 6.0L how likely are the problems with that motor to be corrected by the times the 04 models hit the dealer lot?

I think that most will say yes. More power. Quieter. Better MPG. Better/more rugged auto trans.

With the latest reflash and the C95 injectors, MOST of the problems are already worked out. Oil leak gremlins still strike from time to time. Still some dead pedal/rough idle issues.
